Answer:

Area=160m sq.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the breadth be x m.

Perimeter =74m

Now,

Perimeter of Rectangle =2(l+b)

74=2(5+x)

74=10+2x

74-10=2x

64=2x

x=64/2

x=32m

We get,

Length=5m

Breadth=32m

Perimeter =74m

Now,

Area of rectangle =l×b

So,

Length =5m

Breadth =32m

Area of rectangle =l×b

5m×32m

=160m sq.

Hope its helpful for you ..

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x then length = 5+x

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2×(Length + Breadth)

ATQ, Perimeter = 74 m

74m = 2×(5+x + x)

74/2 = 5+2x

37 = 5+2x

37-5 = 2x

32 = 2x

32/2 = x

16 = x

x= 16

So breadth = 16m and length = 16 + 5 = 21m

Now, Area of a rectangle = length × breadth

= 16 × 21 = 336 m

Therefore Area of the rectangle = 336m
