l=8+x
b=x
perimeter =44
perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+b)
now substitute the values
= 2( 8+x+x) =44
8+2x=22
2x=14
x=7
therefore breadth = 7
lenght =breadth +8
so,7+8 =15
breadth=7
length=15

let breadth of rectangle(b) be x

length of rectangle(l)=x+8

perimeter of rectangle(p)=44 cm

or, 2*(l+b)=44 cm

or, x+8+x=22 cm

or, 2x=14

:x=7 cm

hence length of rectangle(l)=x+8

=7+8=15 cm
