Answer:-

32 Percent

Why So?

Firstly,

Let the length of the rectangle be : 20 cm

Breadth be : 10 cm

We know the formulae,

Area of rectangle = length×breadth

Hence,

Area=

10 × 20 = 200 cm²

If,

Length is increased by : 20%, the length will be:

20/100 × 20

= 4 cm

Hence, the new length is 20 + 4 = 24 cm

Now,

If,

Breadth is increased by : 10%, the breadth will be:

10/100 × 10

= 1 cm

Hence, the new length is 10 + 1 = 11 cm

Therefore, new area = 24 × 11 cm² = 264 cm²

Hence, difference between, new area and old area = 264 - 200 cm = 64 cm

Now,

Percentage of increased area:-

64/200 × 100%

= 64/2%

= 32%

REQUIRED ANSWER:

If the length of a rectangle and breadth of the rectangle are increased 20% and 10% respectively, the area would be increased by 32%.
