Length and breadth of Rectangle

\large\red{\underline{\underline{\bf{\green{Solution}}}}}

Let the :-

Breadth(b) of Rectangle be 'x' cm

Then,

Length(l) of Rectangle = (2x + 1) cm

Now,

Area of Rectangle = 528 sq cm

We know that,

Area of Rectangle = l × b

So,

(2x + 1) x = 528

2x² + x = 528

2x² + x - 528 = 0

2x² + 33x - 32x - 528 = 0

x( 2x + 33) - 16(2x + 33) = 0

(x - 16)(2x + 33) = 0

x = 16. or x = -33/2

Hence,

Length can't be negative.

So,

We take x = 16

Now,

Length = (2x + 1) = (2× 16 + 1) = 33cm

Breadth = x = 16 cm

More Formulas :-

  • Area of Rectangle = l×b

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l+b)

  • Diagonal = √l² + b²
