Length of the rectangle is three times its breadth.

∴ Let, the breadth be x cm , then length 3x cm.

Given, perimeter is 32 cm.

We know, perimeter. = 2 ( length + breadth )

Hence, 2 (3x + x) = 32

or, 4 x = 16 ⇒x=4

Therefore, breadth is 4 cm. and length is 12 cm.

Answer:

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x, then it's length will be 3x.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

20 = 2(3x + x)

20 = 2(4x)

20 = 8x

8x = 20

x = 20/8

x = 2.5

As x = 2.5, implies 3x = 3×2.5 = 7.5

Therefore the length of the rectangle will be 7.5cm (3x) and the breadth of the rectangle will be 2.5cm (x).
