then,

Now if perimeter of rectangle is 72 cm

then

we get

Perimeter = 72

2(l + b ) = 72

2( 2x + x ) = 72

2 × 3x = 72

6x = 72

x = 12

Hence value of x is 12

then its length = 2x

= 2×12

= 24 cm

breadth of rectangle = x = 12 cm
