let breadth be x and length be 2x

perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)

36=2(2x+x)

36=2(3x)

36/2=3x

18=3x

18/3=x

6=x

so breadth is 6 cm and length is 2x=2 X 6= 12 cm

length =12 cm, breadth =6 cm
