Hi ,

Dimensions of a rectangle :

Let the breadth = B cm

Length ( L ) = 5B/3 cm

perimeter of a rectangle = 64 cm

2 ( L + B ) = 64

L + B = 32

5B/3 + B = 32

( 5B + 3B )/3 = 32

8B = 96

B = 96/8

B = 12 cm

L = 5B/3 = ( 5 × 12 )/3 = 20 cm

Now ,

area of the rectangle = LB

A = 20 cm × 12 cm

A = 240 cm²

I hope this helps you.

Hiii friend,

Let the Breadth of the rectangle be X cm.

Then the length of the rectangle = 5/3 X = 5X/3.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(L+B)

64 = 2(5X/3 + X)

64 = 2(5X+3X/3)

64 = 10X + 6X/3

16X = 64 × 3

16X = 192

X = 192/16 => 12 cm

Breadth of rectangle = X = 12 cm

and,

Length of rectangle = 5X/3 = 5 × 12/3 => 5×4 = 20 cm

Therefore,

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth = 20 × 12 = 240 cm².

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU....... :-)
