Answer:

b = 2.26 m

p= 64.52 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Diagonal = length × breadth /2

d = l×b /2

34 = 30 × b /2

34 = 15b

15b = 34

b = 34/15

b = 2.26m

Perimeter = 2( l+b )

p = 2 ( 30+2.26 )

p = 2 × 32.26

p = 64.52m

Question:-

the length of rectangular field is 30m and its diagonal is 34m. find the breadth of the field and its perimeter.

Solution:-

Let, L be the length of rectangle and B be

the breadth rectangle. and D be the diagonal of rectangle.

We know,

each angle of rectangle is of 90°

so, we use Pythagorus theorem

D = Hypotenuse

=> ( D )² = ( L )² + ( B )²

=> ( 34 )² = ( 30 )² + ( B )²

=> 1156 = 900 + ( B )²

i.e.

=> 900 + ( B )² = 1156

=> ( B )² = 1156 - 900

=> ( B )² = 256

=> B = √256

=> B = 16 m

=> Perimeter of rectangle = 2( L + B )

=> Perimeter of rectangle = 2(30 + 16)

=> Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (46)

=> Perimeter of rectangle = 92 m

Hence area of rectangle is 92 m

i hope it helps you.
