Answer:

Area = Length × Breadth

= 500 × 300

= 150000 m2

(ii)Cost of 1 m2 land = Rs 10000

Cost of 150000 m2 land = 10000 × 150000 = Rs 1500000000

Area of the road = Outer area - Inner area

Length = 400 m

Breadth = 200 m

Area of the inner field an be found by subtracting 10m from both the sides in length and breadth, so

  • 400 - 20 will be the length
  • 200 - 20 will be the breadth

Area of Road

                 =    (400 × 200)  -  (380 × 180)

                 =    80000 m - 68400 m

                 =   11600 m²

∴ Area of the road = 11600 m²
