Given: Length of rectangle(l)= 80m and breadth of rectangle (b) = 60m

Length of each side of square(a)= 70m

To find: Area and perimeter of square and rectangle

Solution: Area of square=side*side

=a*a

=70m*70m

=4900 m^{2}

Perimeter of square= 4a

=4*70

=280m

Area of rectangle= length*breadth

=80*60

=4800 m^{2}

Perimeter of rectangle=2(length+breadth)

=2(80+60)

=280m

Therefore, the square and rectangle have same perimeter but the area of square is greater than area of rectangle by 100m^{2}
