Given,

The length of rectangle is 3 times it's breadth.

Let the breadth of rectangle as X.

Length of rectangle is 3x.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

48= 2(3x + x) \\ 48 = 2(4x) \\ 48 = 8x \\ x =  \frac{48}{8}  \\ x = 6

Therefore the length is 3x=3×6=18cm and breadth = 6cm.

Answer:

breadth = 3x cm

length = x cm

Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter of rectangle = 2( l+b )

48 = 2 (3x+x)

48 = 2 (4x)

48 = 8x

48/8 = x

6 = x

x = 6cm

breadth = x cm

breadth = 6cm

length = 3x cm

= 3×6 cm

= 18cm
