the length of rectangular plot of land is reduced by 20% but the area is kept the same as before. find the % of increased breadth​

if the length reduced by 20% the breadth increased by 125%

Here is your explanation

length =l

breadth=b

l*b=a ( area of rectangle )

then b= a/l

if length is reduced to 20% the length become l-20l/100 =l-l/5 = 4l/5

now let us take new breadth as 'c'

4l*c/5=a then

c=5l/4a

that means 5l/4a*100

=125%*l/a

=125%of b
