Given :

  • Length of a rectangular room is thrice its breadth.
  • The perimeter of the rectangular room = 64 m

To find :

  • Length &
  • Breadth

According to the question,

Let,

  • The length be 3x
  • The breadth be x

We know,

➞ Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

➞ 64 = 2(3x + x)

➞ 64 = 2(4x)

➞ 64 = 8x

➞ 64 ÷ 8 = x

➞ 8 = x

Length :

➞ 3x

➞ 3(8 m)

➞ 24 m

Breadth :

➞ x

➞ 8 m

  • So,the length is 24 m and breadth is 8 m.

Answer:

Given :-

  • Length is thrice of Breadth
  • Perimeter of room = 64 cm

To Find :-

Length and Breadth

Solution :-

Let the breadth be x and length be 3x

As we know that

 \bf \: Perimeter =2(l + b)

 \tt64 = 2(3x + x)

 \tt \: 6 4 = (2 \times 3x) + (2 \times x)

 \tt \: 64 = 6x + 2x

 \tt \: 64 = 8x

 \tt \: x \:  =  \dfrac{64}{8}

 \tt \: x = 8 \: cm

Length :-

 \sf \: 3x = 3(8) = 24

Breadth

 \tt \: x = 1(8) = 8 \: cm
