The length of room is double it's breadth.its height is 3m . Area of four walls excluding a door of dimensions 4m*2m is 100m^2 . Find its volume

Answer:

let breadth be x then by ATQ length be 2x

area of four walls excluding door

= LSA of cuboid - area of door

100 = 2( l+b) × h - 4 × 2

100 = 2(2x + x) × 3 - 8

100 = 18x -8

18x = 92

x =5.1

thus length = 5.1

breadth = 10.2

height = 3

volume of room = lbh

= 5.1 × 10.2 × 3

= 156.06m³
