Step-by-step explanation:

given

length = 10m + width

perimeter = 220

find

length of backyard

solution

let we assume width = x

length = 10 + width

10 + x

perimeter of rectangular backyard = 2( length + width)

= 220 = 2 ( 10 + x + x )

= 220 = 2 ( 10 + 2x )

= 220 / 2 = 10 + 2x

= 110 - 10 = 2x

= 100/2 = x

= 50 = x

so, according to above solution and Q.

width = x

= 50

length = 10 + width

= 10 + x

= 10 + 50

= 60

hence

= found
