Area of equilateral ∆ is √3/4 ×side× side . Let the∆ be ABC and height of it be AD

And here side is 8 cm.

Therefore , Area of ∆ ABC =√3 /4 × 8 × 8

=√3×2×8

=16 √3

Now ,

AREA of ∆ ABC = 1/2 × Base ×height

16 √3 = 1/2 × BC × AD

16√3 =1/2 ×8 ×AD

16√3 ×2÷8 =AD

4√3 = AD

Therefore height of equilateral∆ whose side is 8cm is 4√3 cm
