Answer:

length of base-b

height=h

b=2h

area=450=bh

450 = 2hxh

450 = 2 h^2

h^2 = 450/2 = 225

h = v225=15

base=b=2h=2x15 =30

base=30cm

height=15cm

Given,

The area of parallelogram is 450 cm square.

The length of the base of a parallelogram is twice its height.

To find out,

Find it's base and height.

Solution:

Let the length of height be = x

and the base of parallelogram will be twice the height, that means the length of the base is 2x.

Area of parallelogram = base × height

450 = 2x \times x \\  \\ 450 =  {2x}^{2} \\  \\  \frac{450}{2}   =  {x}^{2}  \\  \\ 225 =  {x}^{2}  \\  \\ x =  \sqrt{225}  \\  \\ x = 15

Therefore the height of the parallelogram is x = 15cm and the length of base of parallelogram is 2x = 2×15 = 30 cm.
