The length of the chord y = √3x-2√3 intercepted by the parabola y2= 4(x - 1) is as follows:

Step-by-step explanation:

This is being given in the question i.e.

y = √3x-2√3--------(i)

Also, it is being stated that y2= 4(x - 1)------(ii)

Now,

Substituting the value of y in the equation (ii)

After substitution, we will get:

(√3x - 2√3) ^ 2 = 4x - 4

Or 3x ^ 2 + 12 - 12x = 4x - 4

Or 3x ^ 2 - 16x + 16 = 0

Or (x-12)(x-4) = 0

                                          Hence x = (4,12)
