Diagonal of cube of side x is
 x  \sqrt{3} =  \sqrt[3]{12}
So x is
 x= ( \frac{ \sqrt[3]{12} }{ \sqrt{3} })
So lateral surface area is
 x^{2} = ( \frac{ \sqrt[3]{12} }{ \sqrt{3} })^2 = \frac{12^ \frac{2}{3} }{3}
