Given:

diagonal of a rectangle = 15cm

breath of rectangle = 9 CM

Solution :

let the side of rectangle be ABCD

consider that rectangle is made by two triangles

so, by using Pythagoras theorem

(AC)2 = (AB)2 + (BC)2

(15)2 = (9)2 + ( BC)2

225 = 81 + (BC)2

(BC)2 = 225 - 81

(BC)2 = 144

BC = 12

BC is the length of rectangle that is 12cm

Area of rectangle = length * breath

Area of rectangle = 12 * 9 = 108

so you answer is 108cm2
