Answer:

perimeter=141.6 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

draw another diagonal from the other end

length of a side=\sqrt{25^{2}+25^{2} } (using pythagoras theorem)

                         =35.4 cm

perimeter=35.4x4

               =141.6 cm

The perimeter of the square = 100√2 cm

Given :

The length of the diagonal of a square is 50 cm

To find :

The perimeter of the square

Solution :

Step 1 of 2 :

Find side of the square

Let side of the = x cm

Then length of the diagonal = x√2 cm

By the given condition

\displaystyle \sf{  x \sqrt{2} = 50 }

\displaystyle \sf{ \implies x  =  \frac{50}{ \sqrt{2} }  }

\displaystyle \sf{ \implies x  =  \frac{50 \sqrt{2} }{ \sqrt{2} \times  \sqrt{2}  }  }

\displaystyle \sf{ \implies x  =  \frac{50 \sqrt{2} }{ 2 }  }

\displaystyle \sf{ \implies x  =25 \sqrt{2} }

Side of the square = 25√2 cm

Step 2 of 2 :

Find perimeter of the square

Hence perimeter of the square

= 4 × Length of the side

= 4 × 25√2 cm

= 100√2 cm
