Side and Area of a square

Answer: Side and Area of square whoes diagonal is 8✓2 cm is 8 cm and 64 cm² respectively.

Explanation:

given that length of the diagonal = 8√2 cm

Need to determine Side and Area of the square.

lets fist calculate side of the square

there is a realtion between diagonal and side of a square

diagonal of a square = √2 × side of the square

so in our case  8√2 = √2 × side of the square

=> side of square = 8√2 / √2 = 8 cm

Area of square = side of square × side of square

=> Area of square =  8 × 8 = 64 cm²

Hence side and area of square whoes diagonal is 8✓2 cm is 8 cm and 64 cm² repectively.
