Given :

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Length of the diagonal of a square is \sf \: 8\sqrt{2 } \sf \: cm

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

To Find :

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Length of its side
  • Area of the square

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Solution :

As we know that,

  • Diagonal of square is \sf \: \sqrt{(2)} \times side

Now solving,

➛ 8 √(2)cm = √(2) × side

➛ Side = 8 √(2)cm /√(2)

Side = 8 cm

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

So, now we need to find out the area of the square,

As we know that,

  • Area of the square = side × side

➛ 8 cm × 8 cm

64cm²

∴ Hence, the length of its side is 8cm and area of the square is 64cm² respectively.
