the length of the diagonals of a rhombus are 24.cm and 32 cm the perimeter of the rhombus is ???

Hii friend,

Let ABCD be a rhombus. AC and BD be the diagonals.

Let Diagonals AC and BD bisect each other at o.

AC = 24 cm

And,

BD= 32 cm

We know that the diagonal of a RHOMBUS bisect each other at right angle.

Therefore,

OA = OC = 12 cm, OB = OD = 16 cm

By pythagoras theroem,

AB = ✓(OA)² + (OB)² => ✓(12)² + (16)² = ✓144+256 = ✓400 = 20 cm.

Side of the rhombus = AB = 20 cm

Therefore,

Perimeter of the RHOMBUS = 4 × AB =4 × 20 = 80cm.
