The length of the dioganls of a rhombus are in the ratio 5:3. If its area is 1080 cm square, find its diagonals.​

Answer:

let the diagonals are 5x and 3x

so area of the rhombus is

5x.3x/2=1080

=> 15 x^2=1080×2=2160

=> x^2=2160/15=144

=> x^2=144

=> x=√144=12

so diagonals are 5.12 cm=60 cm

and 3.12 cm= 36 cm
