Equation :4x+3y=12

When the graph units x axis, y coordinate become 0

4x+3(0)=12

4x=12

x=3

Simplify when the graph cuts the y axis, x coordinate is 0

4(0)+3y=12

3y=12

y=4

If OA=3unit

OB=4unit

By Pythagoras theorem

(AB)^2 =(OA)^2 +(OB)^2

(3)^2 +(4)^2

9+16

=25

 \sqrt{25}

AB=5 units
