The length of the fence of a trapezium - shaped field ABCD is 120m. If BC = 48m,CD = 17m and AD = 40m, then find the area of this field. Side

AB is perpendicular to parallel sides AD and BC.

 area \: of \: trapezium = \frac{1}{2} \times hieght(sum \: of \: parallel \: sides) \\  a = \frac{1}{2}  \times 40(40 + 48) \\a =  20 \times 88  \\ area \: of \: trapezium = 1760
