The length of the floor if a rectangle hall is 10 m more than its breadth. If 34 carpets of size 6m×4m are required to cover the floor of the hall, then find the length and breadth of the hall.

L = 10m

Area of carpet = 6m × 4m = 24m

No. of carpet = 34

Total area occupied by all carpet =

34 × 24 = 816m

Area of floor = L × B = 816

= 10 × B = 816

= B = 816/10

= B = 81.6
