Step-by-step explanation:
Let breadth of the floor be b mtr.
Therefore the length of floor = (b+1) mtr.
Perimeter of floor = 2 (l+b)
=> 14 = 2(b+b+1)
=> 14/2 = 2b+1
=> 7 = 2b+1
=> 7-1 = 2b
=> 6 = 2b
=> b= 6/2
=> b=3Breadth = 3 m
Length = (3+1) = 4 m
hence, area = l × b
= 3×4
= 12 m²
Area of floor = 12m²
