The length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle is 13cm. If one the side of the triangle be 5cm long,find the length of the other side

Let, AB be 13cm and BC be 5cm, we have to find AC?
Hypotenuse sq.= Adjacent sq. + Opposite sq.
AB sq.= BC sq.+ AC sq.
Therefore, 13 sq.= 5 sq.+ AC sq.
AC sq.= 13 sq.-5 sq.
AC sq.= 169-25
AC sq.= 144
AC= √144
AC= 12cm
Therefore, In triangle ABC, AB=13cm, BC=5cm, CA=12cm.
