Here's your answer friend,

✔ Given : The length of the legs of a right angled triangle are 12 cm and 5 cm.

(i.e. Two adjacent sides = 12 cm and 5 cm respectively)

we don't know Hypotenuse side

Therefore,

By \: Pythagorus \: Theorem

We have,

✔ (AB)² + (BC)² = (AC)²

Here, let AB and BC be two adjacent sides or legs of right angled triangle 12 cm and 5 cm respectively.

And AC be the hypotenuse side.

==> We have,

==> (12)² + (5)² = AC² (Hypotenuse side)²

==> 144 + 25 = (AC)²

==> 169 = AC²

==> \: AC \: = \sqrt{169}

==> AC  = 13 cm

Hope it helps you
