The length of the load arm of a lever is 6m long and it's effort arm is 3m
long. What is the effort required to lift a load of 40N?

This is your answer.

Load arm = 6m = 600cm

Effort arm = 3m = 300cm

Load = 40N

Load×Load arm = Effort× Effort arm

Effort = Load × Load arm/Effort arm

Effort = 40×300/600

Effort = 40×2

Effort = 80N
