Heya,

According to the question,

Length of minute hand(r) = 14cm

Angle swept in 1 minutes = 360°/60 = 6°

So, angle swept in 5 min(theta) = 30°

So,
Area swpet in 5 min will be = theta/360°×πr²

= 30°/360° × 22/7 × 14 × 14

= 1/12 × 22 × 2 × 14

= 11 × 14/3

= 154/3

= 51.3 cm² ..... Answer

Hope this helps....:)

Given the length of the minute hand r = 14cm.

We know that angle through which minute hand moves in 60 minutes = 360 degrees.

Then the angle in minute hand moves in 5 minutes = 360 * 5/60

                                                                                       = 30 degrees.

Therefore the angle = 30 degrees, r = 14cm.

Now, Area swept by the minute hand

=  \pi r^2 *  \frac{theta}{360}

 \frac{22}{7} *  (14)^2 *  \frac{30}{360}

 \frac{154}{3} cm^2

51.3cm^2.

Hope this helps!
