Answer:

Given,

length of minute hand = 14 cm

We know that,

1 min = 6°

So, 5 min = (5 × 6)°

= 30°

So, Area swept by the minute hand in 5 min

= (θ/360° × πr²) unit²

= (30°/360° × 22/7 × 14 × 14) cm²

= (1/12 × 22 × 2 × 14) cm²

= (1/6 × 22 × 14) cm²

= (1/6 × 308) cm²

= 51.33 cm² (Answer)

Step-by-step explanation:

angle swept by minute gand in 60 min =360°.

1 min =360/60= 6°

5 min =6*5=30°.

angle swept by minute hand in 5 min=30/360*πrsq.

=30/360*22/7*14*14

=154/3cmsq.
