The length of the minute hand of a clock is 14 cm. Find the area swept by the minute hand in 5 minutes.

area of the circle is 22/7*14*14=616
in 60 mins the minute hands covers 616 square cm 
there fore in 5 mins it will cover =5*616/60=51.33 square cm
