The area swept out by the minute hand in 1 hour is 616 cm²

We know, in a clock, the minute hand covers a full 360° in 1 hour.

Given the length of the minute hand is 14cm, which is the radius (r) of the circular clock.

So, the area swept out by the minute hand in 1 hour = П×r², where r is the length of the minute hand = 14cm

So, area = П × (14)² = (22/7) × (14)² = 616cm².        [П = 22/7]
