length of minute hand of clock = radius of circle formed by minute hand on moving in a circle = 21 cm

no. of rounds made in 6 minutes = 6

so, area swept by minute hand in 1 minute = area of 1 round

                                                                       = π r²    (π = 22/7)

                                                                       = 22/7 * (21)²

                                                                       = 22/7 * 441

                                                                       = 9261/7

                                                                       = 1323 cm²

Since area covered in 1 minute is 1323 cm², then area covered in 6 minutes will be = 1323 * 6

           = 7938 cm²

∴The area covered by minute hand in 6 minutes is 7938 cm²

Hope it helps
