1056=3x^2+18x

or, 3x^2+18x-1056=0

3(x^2+6x-352)=0

x^2+6x-352=0

Now, By splitting middle term method, we get--

x^2+22x-16x-352=0

x(x+22)-16(x+22)=0

(x-16)(x+22)=0

So, x=16, -22
