At x-axis , y=0
therefore, x ==>
3x +4×0 =1
x = 1/3
therefore point A is ( 1/3,0 )
At y-axis , x=0
therefore, y ==>
3×0 + 4y = 1
y = 1/4
therefore point B is ( 0, 1/4 )
The length of the portion intercepted is
√(1/3-0)^2 + (0-1/4)^2
√(1/3)^2 + (-1/4)^2
√1/9 + 1/16
√25/144
= 5/12 units
