Hello mate here is your answer,

Length of rectangle = x + 9

Breadth of rectangle = x

Formula of area = Length x breadth

=> So area of rectangle = x(x + 9) = x^2+9x

Area Of New Rectangle ::

Length of new rectangle = x + 9 +3 = x+12

Breadth of new rectangle = x + 3

So area of new rectangle = length x breadth

= (x+3) (x+12)

= x^2 + 3x + 12x + 36

= x^2 + 15x + 36

So Evaluating according to the question::

=> (x^2 + 15x + 36) - ( x^2 + 9x ) = 84

= 15x + 36 - 9x = 84

= 6x = 48

x = 8 cm

So Length = x + 9 = 17 cm

And breadth = x = 8

And area = 8 x 17 = 136 cm^2

Area of new rectangle::

=> length = x + 9 + 3 = 8 + 9 + 3 = 20cm

=> Breadth = x + 3 = 11cm

So area = length x breadth

=> 11 x 20 = 220 cm^2

So subtracting the area of both rectangles the answer we receive ::

220 - 136 = 84 cm
