Hello Friend!

First find the perimeter of square

Perimeter of square= 4*Side
=4*12.5
=50

So the perimeter of square is 50 , Thus the perimeter of rectangle is also 50 as mentioned in the question.

Let us find the breadth.

Perimeter of rectangle=2(length+breadth)
50=2(16+breadth)
50/2=16+breadth
25=16+breadth
25-16=breadth
9=breadth

So the breadth of the rectangle is 9

Now find the Area

Area of rectangle= length*breadth
=16*9
=144cm^2

Hope this helps :)
