& length be 3 + x

Dimension of rectangle = 2(l + b)

54 = 2(3 + x + x)

54 = 2(3 + 2x)

54 = 6 + 4x

54 - 6 = 4x

48 = 4x

x = 48/4

x = 12

Length = 3 + 12

= 15

width = 12
