Answer:

length = 12 and Breadth = 2.1 or 21/10.

Step-by-step explanation:

let the breadth of the rectangle be X cm,

Then length of the rectangle be 2X + 3 cm.

Given,Perimeter of the rectangle = 24

Therefore,

By formula,

2 × ( l+ b )

=> 2 {( 2X + 3) + X }

=> 2{ 5X + 3 }

=> 10X + 3

But given that the perimeter is 24 cm,

Therefore,

10X + 3 = 24

=> 10X = 24 - 3

=> 10X = 21

=> X = 21/10

Hence, breadth of the rectangle = 2.1 or21/10

And,length of the rectangle = 2(21/10) + 3

= 21/5 + 3

= (21 + 15)/3

= 36/3

= 12
