the length of the rectangle is three times its breadth. if the perimeter is 184 cm find the area of the rectangle

perimeter=2(l+b)
184=2(3b+b)
184=2*4b
184/2=4b
92=4b
92/4=b
b=23 cm

l=3b=3*23=69cm

area=l*b
=23*69=1587cm^2

Here is your answer

Suppose breadth of rectangle be y cm
Length of rectangle = 3y cm

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
184 cm = 2 ( 3y+y)
4y = 184/2
y = 184/2×4
y = 23 cm
breadth of rectangle = y = 23 cm
&
length of rectangle= 3y =69 cm
so,
area of rectangle = 23×69 = 1587 cm²
