Answer:

Let the width be X so the length will be 3x

area of rectangle = l×b

i.e. 3x×x=48m2

3x^2=48m^2

X^2= 48/3

X^2= 16

X= √16

X=4 m

length =3x= 12m

breadth = X= 4 m

perimeter = 2×( l+b )

= 2× (12m + 4m)

= 2× 16m

=32 m

Answer:

l=xdivided by three because the length cant be bigger than the width so 3:1=4 divided by 48=12

12 = width  12 divided by 3 = 4 so the width= 4 4 plus 12 = 16
