The length of the rectangle is twice its breadth. If the perimeter is 18cm. Find its length and breadth.

let the breadth be x.
therefore, length = 2*x

perimeter of a rectangle= 2*(length+breadth)
perimeter=2*(2x+x)
perimeter=2*3x=6x
given perimeter=18
therefore,18=6x
18/6=x
x=3.
THEREFORE,
length=2x=2*3=6cm
breadth=x=3cm.
