Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

2(2b+b) = P

2(2b+b) = 90

2b+b = 90/2

2b+b = 45

3b = 45

b = 45/3

B = 15cm

L = 2B

L = 2x15 = 30cm

Question :-

The length of a rectangle is twice its breadth. What is the length if the Perimeter is 90 cm.

Given,

Perimeter of rectangle is 90 cm.

Now,

Let the breadth be 'x' and the length be '2x'

Thus,

2 (2x+x)=90

4x+2x=90

6x=90

x=90\div6

x=15

Verification,

LHS = 2(2x+x)

= 2(2 × 15+15)

= 2 (30+15)

= 2 × 45

= 90

RHS = 90

LHS = RHS hence, verified.

Therefore,

The breadth = x cm

= 15 cm

The length = 2x cm

= (2 × 15) cm

= 30 cm
