RECTANGULAR FIELD:
Let the length be 'l' and
      the breadth be 'b'.
The length is thrice it's breadth
∴l=3b→1
Perimeter=240m
      2(l+b)=240
   2(3b+b)=240                                             (From 1)
     6b+2b=240
           8b=240
             b=240÷8
           ∴b=30m
Substituting b in 1, we get:
l=3b
 =3(30)
 =90m
∴The length of the field is 90m.

Answer:

suppose length is L and breadth is b

given, length is thrice from breadth

therefore L=3b

Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter=240

2(l+b)=240

2(3b+b)=240 ------(I)

6b+2b=240 (from (I))

8b=240

b=240/8

therefore b=30

substitute the value of in l=3b

now, l=3(30)

l=90
