Let the breadth of the rectangular hall be x m .

There fore , the length of the rectangular hall be ( x + 5 ) m .

Perimeter given = 74 m .

Acc. to the question ,

2 { x + ( x + 5) } = 74

=> 2 ( 2x + 5 ) = 74

=> 2x + 5 = 37
